How to buy Electricity in the +more app?
Choose Electricity from the services menu. Open the Services tab and select the Airtime option to begin your purchase.
Enter your information. Enter the Name of the person or property the Electricity is for, enter the meter number and the amount of electricity you want to buy.
Verify it’s you. Confirm your identity with your device authentication (PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID) before continuing.
Enter your card details. On the secure checkout screen, enter your cardholder name, card number, expiry date, and CVC. Payments are processed safely.
Processing your payment. Once you confirm, your payment will process. Please wait a few seconds while it completes.
Payment successful. You’ll see a success message thanking you for your purchase and display the token for the Electricity purchased.
View and download your receipt. View your receipt with the token number at the bottom of the services page under your purchase history. You can also select Buy again to quickly make the same purchase.
Why provide a name for my Electricity purchase?
It makes it easier to "Buy Again" for a meter you have bought electricity before
If you're never going to buy for this electricity meter again, leave the Name blank, and we won't save the details.
Tap on a "Buy Again" list item and the details will automatically be inserted for your convenience. You still have to enter the amount for each purchase as it doesn't auto-repeat the purchase.
Why did I get less electricity for the purchase amount?
Your municipality may have deducted outstanding fees or arrears from your purchase amount.
Why did I get multiple tokens for my purchase?
In some cases you may be required to input additional tokens into your meter. These could be to configure your meter or maybe even some free electricity.
If you get "key change tokens," make sure you enter them into your meter in the exact order it is presented to you on the screen or your receipt.
Important Information
Please ensure the meter number and amount is correct! We unfortunately cannot reverse the purchase.
The price for the electricity includes VAT.
